How We Got Started

I'm Deirdre Bourdet, the Founder and Chief Eating Officer of Hedonism Ink, and a lifelong lover of good food, wine, people, and prose.

I graduated from Vassar College magna cum laude with a degree in French, and from Ecole Le Cordon Bleu Paris with a diploma in French Cuisine and Oenologie. For various reasons of debatable excellence, I then spent more than ten years trying to enjoy being a lawyer in San Francisco and Napa Valley. In 2009, I followed my heart/stomach back to my truest passions: wine and food, writing, and helping others achieve their goals.
