It is a bit of a long story..... the "coles notes version" is that I worked doing research and advocacy in HIV/HepC for a number of years and decided I wanted to find another way to serve my community. I was getting increasing frustrated with the patients I knew that slipped through the cracks, felt they weren't heard or that their symptoms were dismissed, or were not treated with a patient-centred care approach. I decided to go back to school, change careers, and open a primary care clinic where everyone felt that they were heard, honoured, and respected.
