(more) I’m guessing these are in-person workshops since you didn’t mention that the course will be online.  Also, does the customer have to pay for the workshop? In order to attract and enroll clients in the course, you need to develop a marketing tactic for publicizing your workshop. This is only the first step, you will need to utilize a sales funnel that will integrate the entire process from the moment a customer is contemplating signing up for the workshop to the final decision of actually signing up for the workshop. Knowing your target audience and keeping them in mind is important as well. Here are some recommendations on advertising your series of workshops: Create your workshop title based on keyword research.  Use Google’s Keyword Planner to identify popular keywords that are related to your workshop. Advertise through social media platforms. This is a great way to build your personal brand. In addition, putting the event up on event websites such as Coursehorse, Meetup, Eventbrite are additional ways to get recognized.   Depending on the type of workshop, it can be included on LivingSocial and Groupon. Local events and meetup groups can get you in front of potential clients where you can mention your workshop to the group. Include a link to your workshop in your email signature as most individuals communicate via email throughout the day.

(more) The importance of having a Facebook page for business is to engage with your audience which is comprised of a multi-faceted group of people. They can be potential customers, current customers and former customers.  Facebook is a great avenue to create brand awareness, increase your reach and generate traffic to your website. Your logo is an essential part of your Facebook business page. Do not continuously change your profile photo. Make sure your company’s logo stands out in your followers’ news feed.  A couple of times a year is enough because changing the image can cause brand confusion. Keeping the branding consistent throughout the page in terms of the way you communicate with your audience, the graphics you use and the color scheme is very important as well.  Having a messy brand representation could have a negative impact on your Facebook page in terms of reach and how others perceive your company.

A few websites I've used are Upwork.com, Freelancer.com, and Thumbtack.com. Chatting with local businesses and letting them know what services you provide is another amazing way to get known and build relationships.
