Carey Kirkella Photography
I’m a storytelling portrait and lifestyle photographer specializing in creating custom photo libraries for businesses and entrepreneurs.
I especially enjoy supporting purpose driven businesses and organizations with my work.
Some past clients include LoveWellness, Pfizer, Charles Schwab, New York Life Insurance, Teachers College Columbia University, and many small businesses.
My most recent projects have been with a sustainable fashion brand, a holistic health coach, and for a locally sourced luxury goods boutique.
Some of my fine art photography projects have been exhibited internationally, including work from my ‘Sisters & Survivors’ series. That project is to help raise awareness for the need for more funding for stage iv breast cancer, in tribute to my sister.
I’ve been making pictures since I was 12 years old, and I knew back then that I would like to be either a photographer or a psychotherapist of some sort. I earned a full scholarship to Pratt Institute to study photography, and after graduating I worked briefly as a photo editor for The Wall Street Journal.
In addition to continuing my work as a photographer, I’m starting to offer photography workshops about how to use photography as a tool for mindfulness and for self development.
