My company represents a collection of luxury properties in South America, Central America and Europe. With properties still closed due to restrictions and borders closed to travelers, my business has been on hold since March 2020.  (more) My company represents a collection of luxury properties in South America, Central America and Europe. I don’t know where you are located, nor the quality of your establishment ( Deluxe, luxury, mid market, budget) but word of mouth gets around pretty quickly as well as great feedback on trip advisors and on your social media platforms. I’m in the boutique hotel business with clients that have 16 rooms upward. They don’t try to compete with larger hotels... they try to set themselves apart. To be recognized as an intimate place that welcomes guest as if they are family. Recognizing a birthday, an anniversary, a honeymoon by leaving a welcome amenity and note says a lot.  I always recommend complimentary water in the room and a lovely welcome note from management. Being thoughtful and able to predict guest needs, to stay ahead of issues that might arise ( AC not working, leaks in bathroom, noisy family above), those are greater hallmarks of success than investing in local welcome gifts.

A better reply would be based on size of hotel, location, client they are looking to attract, if it is a luxury, mid-market or budget hotel. Cannot offer more without additional details and...
