We prepare business valuations for estate and gift tax planning, financial reporting (such as equity-based incentives and purchase price allocations), transaction advisory through our FINRA broker-dealer MPI Securities, forensic analysis, litigation support for divorce, and measuring economic damages.

In the trusts & estates space, when clients ask for advice on which real estate appraiser to choose, we pick from our referral list based on experience with certain property types. Depending upon the size of the property portfolio (is it 1 building or 20?), their production capacity and turnaround times do factor in when we're dealing with filing deadlines.
I'm long on Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum. Nobody knew how the web would change the world 20 years ago. Cryptocurrencies will do the same for money. I'm actually building an Ethereum mining rig to join in the mining process and hopefully get in early.

It's been a double-edged sword for me. On one hand, it's an affordable way to get my CPE credits on a fairly regular basis. On the other hand, webinars have eaten into the attendance numbers for local meetings, which provide lots of opportunities to meet new people.
