Alla Roytberg, the founding owner, is a Divorce Mediator Member on numerous court panels throughout New York State. She is a frequent speaker at various organizations, including the New York City Bar Association and New York State Council on Divorce Mediation.
Alla is a member and former president of the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York. In addition, Alla is a former Director of the Small Law Firm Center at the New York City Bar Association. Alla is also an Advanced Practitioner member of Association for Conflict Resolution, member of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, New York State Divorce Mediation Council, and the New York City and New York State Bar Associations.
Lara Traum, who is a partner at the firm, is an attorney, mediator and published author in the fields of mediation and collaborative law. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Families and the Law, the Queens County Bar Association's Solo and Small Law Firm Committee, and the New Jersey State Bar Association's Young Lawyer's Division. She is a past member of the New York City Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution and Children and the Law Committees, as well as the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York. Lara is currently a President of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, and a member of the Board of Directors of COJECO (Council of Jewish Emigre Community Organizations).

Alla Roytberg went to law school to pursue her passion to help people successfully navigate through legal complexities in life. After graduating from Fordham University School of Law in 1991 and working at 2 NYC law firms for 5 years, Alla realized that the most effective way for her to deliver best legal services to her clients was to open and run her own law firm. She would then have the flexibility to select her own clients and to make strategic decisions on how to solve their legal problems in the most creative and cost-effective way. This is why, in September of 1996 Alla founded the Law Firm and Mediation Practice of Alla Roytberg. We have been a continuous presence in New York City ever since.
