U R It Unlimited (not for profit), a soft skills communication training company
U R It Unlimited Foundation delivers soft skills communication training, to individuals and groups who want to attract the opportunities that will improve their lives.
With customized workshops that address personal skill levels in the areas of public and personal communications such as public speaking, interviewing skills for employment, and the importance of first impressions, participants gain a better understanding of their personal communication style and how to communicate effectively.
In consultation, the Foundation also works with organizations on customized special projects (e.g., employee engagement programs, professional development, and organizational change).
As the Founder and President of U R It Unlimited Foundation, I bring a background of 20+ years as an HR professional and corporate trainer, who enjoys working with cross-cultural organizations and community groups, in public and private companies, not for profits, and tech start-ups.
My favorite projects have always been related to the development of effective organizational retention programs, and tailored professional development opportunities that facilitate and support positive partnerships with industry groups, local communities, clients and employee populations.
With a long history of commitment to education and community engagement, my leadership currently includes being a Trustee Mentor and Trustee on the Board of Trustees for Sarah Lawrence College (my alma mater), and a Director, and former Secretary of the Board for the National Women's Hall of Fame. Past board engagement has also included being on the board of the East Harlem Tutorial Program, a two-term president of the SLC Alumni Association, and as Program Director, and Secretary of the Board of Directors for the LEAD Program in Business, a four week summer residential program that introduced academically gifted high school juniors of color to business.
My personal philosophy lends itself to working with adults, who want to re-imagine themselves and the quality of their lives.... 'You can't change the wind, but you can always re-set your sail.'
Understanding the nuances of language, and how to effectively communicate, can boost confidence and make an important contribution to an individual’s success – financially, socially and professionally. And with that in mind, I created the U R It Unlimited Communication curriculum.
