We started when a vendor offered to pay me to show how I used a CAD program to redo a drawing overnight which would have taken him a week to redraw by hand.

Services ROI is much harder to measure than Marketing ROI.  Saving time is great if the needs can be anticipated and the response time is extremely fast. If you can show time to complete tasks, as per below it's one overall task, but 4 sub tasks.  Book travel 1/15 to Dallas TX, return Late... Fall on the Grenade. If there is a problem and you are closest, jump on it. 2. 20 Minute Rule. If you can't solve it in 20 minutes, move it up to the next higher level of authority. Having another pair of eyes often reveals the problem or solution. 3. Stay in touch. If we had ultimate bandwidth there would be no need for communication. Direct communication is preferred over all others. TXT, Email, Voicemail is NOT direct. 4. Must want to learn. Knowledge is fluid, and your brain has leaks so you need a way to keep filling it up. 5. No Secrets. Process, procedures, customer information can't reside in just your head. It needs to be written in a way other people can find and duplicate success (or avoid failure)
