About Us

Located at 1931 West Coast Hwy, Newport Beach, CA 92663, the German School campus is accredited by the WASC Accrediting Commission for Schools, upholding the highest academic standards. We offer German language programs from Kindergarten through high school, with opportunities to earn high school credits. Our curriculum leads students to success in AP German, AATG National Exams (Levels 1-4), and the German Language Diplomas A1-C1. Students can earn the prestigious Global Seal of Biliteracy. Adults can learn German online and get certified.

As the third official ÖSD Examination Center in the U.S., we provide globally recognized German language certifications aligned with the CEFR A1-C1, supporting those pursuing studies or careers in German-speaking countries. Under the leadership of Principal Ursula Schoeneich, we are committed to academic excellence and cultural immersion on California’s beautiful coast.

How We Got Started

Founded in 2015 in Newport Beach, the GERMAN SCHOOL campus began with the mission to offer K-12 students the opportunity to earn high school credits in German, supported by an accredited AP German program for college credit. From the start, we have prepared students for the prestigious C1/DSD II Sprachdiplom, opening doors to tuition-free university studies in Germany.

Over the years, we have expanded to offer programs for adult learners and official examination services. As an authorized ÖSD Exam Center, we provide a comprehensive and enriching learning environment for students of all ages.

Now celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2025, we proudly continue our commitment to academic excellence, cultural immersion, and empowering students through German language education.

His stress level goes thru the roof, trying to keep his letters the same size, and neat. His letters always end up looking out of shape regardless how hard he tried. It is such a battle for him that i rather scribe for him....to save myself the agony of watching my son meltdown; complaining of headaches, backaches and all of the sudden, everything seems to be aching....and generally losing confidence in himself. He will call himself stupid, which is a very painful thing to hear. But LOOK!! See what he did!! He has been writing beautifully on napkins for the past weeks. In fact, he has been writing on his German language book while working with you...and it was beautifully formed and neat letters too. I just want to share this very huge break thru with you...I do believe you working with him has helped him overcome his writing phobia. His interest for the German language has help masked that phobia and allowed him to progress forward. He is so proud of himself now, he is very pleased his handwriting is looking beautiful and neat now. Thank you so much. You truly are a blessing to my son.” When I get e-mails in like this, I have tears of joy in my eyes. This is a part of the story of my student, I was working with for many years online from the UK. He was diagnosed with Asperger-Syndrome. He was homeschooled. His mother contacted me through my  https://www.germanschoolonline.com/ . We gave the studies of a foreign language a try and here we are 6 years later, he became a fine young man, going to college and enjoying his life, taking fencing as sport. They call me the second mom who never gave up on him, encouraged him, believed in him. All is possible and online programs are wonderful for a one in one support.
