I am a PA-C Gerontologist, medical practice owner and provide home medical visits/house calls/Direct Primary Care for home-bound Medicare recipients. The home-bound elderly are our most vulnerable during this time, yet are protected in some ways as they do not interact much with the community....

I am a PA-C Gerontologist, medical practice owner and provide home medical visits/house calls/Direct Primary Care for home-bound Medicare recipients. The home-bound elderly are our most vulnerable during this time, yet are protected in some ways as they do not interact much with the community.
I am pivoting to 100% Telehealth and remote patient monitoring in reaching and caring for my patients during this time. I am assembling a large resource of UMD Pre-Med/Pre-PA interns to help me in outreach etc. for my patients and hopefully beyond. This emergency requires creative and resourceful measures. In all tragedy there are opportunities too.
As the W.H.O. says it best: "We are merely physical distancing not social distancing" - The miracles of technology will allow us to adapt and overcome...This forum and other help us remain connected and in some control of our business and our lives. Let's remain connected safe and healthy.
