No there is no penalty for being late nor do you have to mail it in.  I am still e-filing taxes & as long as u get a refund, u have three years in which to file.  Scan & send to me & I will handle your taxes.  You always should go to an EA or tax professional - someone who is licensed in taxation... I learned from my Dad & then got my Bachelor's degree & then my MBA...H&R Blockheads is NOT the way to go...In 23 years of preparing taxes, I've never seen an H&R return that didn't have 2 be amended.  They are clowns...Get your education, take IRS seminars and study. I am a sole proprietor & not incorporated..@ this time, the costs 2 incorporate & renew each year is more than I want 2 pay.  Would rather use that $$ for tax seminars.
