I'm verified (so far alignable hasn't convinced me that I should give them money) yet my customers are coming from now 3 continents (US, EU, AU). For the tags, well it is obvious that if person needs a marketing advice they will search for #marketing etc....in short this whole post is written in a clever way as to motivate business to pay for premium. As far as a guide for people there is very little substance, yes all the things mentioned are true but very basic common knowledge...So dear Alignable why don't you concentrate on providing value rather than writing clever sales posts?

It's a difficult situation to be in and I feel you but you need to take ownership. It was you who started this by keeping secret not your coworker. From your post I assume that you have been at this job for a while now and you knowpeople and thay know you. If you keep secret about something big (and since you felt the need to keep it secret, clearly it is big) breaks trust. Your coworkers must feel like they don't know you, that you don't trust them (because you kept secret from them) some might even feel fooled by you..of course thay go behind your back and talk about you, again you've separate your self by keeping secrets. Now the best thing you can do is to be assertive, vulnerable and curious. Don't hide don't quit, share your fear, worries insecurities with assertiveness and openness. People will see you as strong and courageous, someone who they can trust with their own "secrets" and soon enough they will defend you rather than gossip about you. Also go around and start the conversations that are happening behind your back. Not to confront but to understand, be curious and listen to how others feel...and last thing, being right doesn't come with benefits, it comes with a duty to be strong and inspiring so others can grow to your level of understanding because they are inspired to.

1) don't go too many places at once, pick one platform and do it well
2) if you do your social media by yourself, pick a platform you're most comfortable with and genuinely want to be on

3) what ever platform you're on, concentrate on delivering value and building relationships (they are called social platforms, not sales platforms for a reason)
