The Government keep saying that the SBA Loans and PPP Loan are being distributed, and that these billions of dollars are out there reaching small businesses. Has anyone seen this actually happen?

The banks are overwhelmed by the applications, I am not sure that they even know how to process them with the government agencies distributing the money. I don't know anyone in my area that has received a payment, I tried for over a week until my application was eventually submitted through a bank application portal that had to be modified and corrected three times by the bank.

Now that my application has been submitted, the bank has not followed up to say that my application is being reviewed or where I stand in the process. This is a major national bank so I can only imagine how the smaller banks are managing. We are waiting blind to see if any money finally appears. This whole process is a mess.

I wait patiently with fingers crossed.

The small community bank in my area have delivered big time. They have been easy to work with and used the SBA loan approval system successfully. I work with all these banks daily and they should be commended for how they used the PPP for their customers in southern Illinois

Very few small businesses received the funds, but many large corporations received up to $10 Million forgivable loans under this plan. It seems that the large corporations know how to maneuver in this environment. And Banks are more likely to prioritize the applications to give preference to the larger companies.
