About Us

A source of hope and healing for families impacted by childhood cancer and child loss, offering holistic retreats and meaningful gatherings that create connection, while honoring the process of grief and the power of love.

How We Got Started

When the Cavans lost their son to cancer in 2015, they decided to start an organization that would bring families facing childhood cancer together. They created Rett's Roost retreats with the intention of giving parents, siblings, and kids with cancer healthy ways to manage their inevitable feelings of grief, anxiety, loneliness, and depression.

She has done all the work on herself necessary to support others in their grief and healing journeys. She is intuitive, empathetic, and supportive. We had an incredibly powerful experience with a rainbow after a shamanic circle of mourning held at our grief retreat. Highly recommend!"

(more) Gofundme is not typically used for charitable or business donations. People cannot claim gofundme donations on their taxes so typically they only make small donations. I usually see it seen for families that are facing a struggle, medically, a sudden death, house burning down, something like that. Not for a service project. But if you have a compelling reason for people to donate from the kindness of their hearts and not expecting anything in return, then boosted posts on Facebook and Instagram work well. Continuously posting on twitter will help if you have a large network there. Find people you know with large networks and have them share it for you.
