(more) If information is power than I want my return completed as soon as possible.  This year is no different than any other year, in that if you know the outcome you can plan strategically with your accountant and count all the costs before you decide on exactly when to file and or pay.  I will say in time where cash is king I look at the costs of financing with the government vs Visa vs local bank.  Cash flow management has never been more important than right now. If your not working with a CPA firm I would suggest you start right this second.  You need someone on your side that can see things from a different perspective and that can advise without emotion but with facts.  The idea that you can issue a one size fits all answer is nonsense, your business is unique.  All the fact and circumstances must be taken into account before an objective decision is made.   Remember two things; 1.  Debt Robs your future profits & 2. Cash is King!

Social Security can be taxable.  There are different limitation between Single and MFJ.  The concept is that if your other income is low enough then you don't pay any tax on SS but if your income goes above a certain threshold then the SS phases in as taxable income.   You will never pay taxes on... (more) Social Security can be taxable.  There are different limitation between Single and MFJ.  The concept is that if your other income is low enough then you don't pay any tax on SS but if your income goes above a certain threshold then the SS phases in as taxable income.   You will never pay taxes on more than 85% of SS.  Its a government thing so you know they will never make it simple!!!
