How We Got Started

Started in the computer industry introducing hardware products including the first Toshiba laptops in the US, the first 9 pin printer from Star Micronics, Introduced the first intranet system prior to the internet, and the first wearable video camera by Dejaview. Consulted and brought to market another 25 companies in computer, peripherals accessories and multiple CE products. Consulted for Intel and worked with their lead Platinum Partner. The plan was to launch a new small format, custom built computer - the NUC. Currently Consultant and EVP for IPowerup, a solar power technology for Apple phones. Consultant to MergeIn, the next generation platform for in-person internet shopping and services. Consultant to Brandywine Insights.

What I wouldn't do is address him in person. Limit potential injury. He drinks, remember.

Look at your business demographic. Pull all your email contacts and previous residential customers who may also have businesses and make an announcement as to your intention. I always found when looking for a sales person, it is more important for them to have the relationships than product knowledge. It's a chicken and egg issue.Introduce your product. If you win make him a valued customer. Make sure he/she trusts you. Always be curious and helpful by asking the right questions. Complaints may be personal, purchase related, lack of understanding, warranty issue. you need to ask the right questions. If it's just bitching try calming them but is it legitimate. If not can you ask the manufacturer for assistance.... (more) Always be curious and helpful by asking the right questions. If not can you ask the manufacturer for assistance. People buy things and then love it or hate it. Some of this you can't address. Where you can, try. If all else fails, find new customers which you should be doing anyway. You will always lose a % of customers. replace them constantly
