As a business responsable business owner you should check your expenses monthly and evaluate them quarterly. That way you can make adjustments as needed through out the year to make sure your not spending to much.

How to manage your Small Business during the World COVID-19 Pandemic.
Running a successful small business these days is a challenge no doubt. With all the other things going on around you and the world it is a real must these days to be cautious and careful as we try to keep our businesses going and still meet the needs to our customers and clients on a daily basis. With the current pandemic of COVID-19 that has consumed the World it has really take it's toll on most businesses. From the The pandemic has caused a lot of businesses to either close its doors for good all together or has caused businesses to shift the way they conduct business to keep revenue coming in by starting or increasing their online business. Some businesses have to straight online business and have had success by doing this. This has effected everyone from the hotels we stay in and restaurants we eat at even the venues and places we have weddings at today.
As a photographer my self when the Pandemic hit I personally saw a 60% drop in business. Cancellations of events were high. I had to quickly shift to figure out a way to change the way I conducted business in order to avoid being part of the pandemic business shut down list. My first priority was the health and safety of myself and my clients. I ensured that I was equipped with a mask. At any and all interactions with clients. Secondly, all backgrounds and props I used during a session I ensured were properly sanitized, washed and disinfected prior to being used again on the next session. I always have a bottle of hand sanitizer with me as well as a can of Lysol spray. For my business it was a must that I could ensure my clients that I was COVID-19 negative. By getting tested weekly. I also ensured that I followed CDC guidelines on social distancing this ensured my safely as well as my clients. I started conducting consultations for clients via ZOOM.
I wanted to reinforce and showed my clients that I was willing to adjust and shift the way I was conducting business but still providing the 5 star service that I provide to all of my clients. In my advertisements I make it a point to stress the changes I have made to make sure everyone feels comfortable that I am doing my part to keep my clients safe. It is important for me to showcase the value and services I provide in a safe manner. Showing my clients that I am doing my part to avoid spreading COVID-19 has actually gained me a lot of business on line as well as in person. If you are struggling to keep things going then make some simple changes and let your potential customers know what you are doing to protect the spread of the virus in your business. By doing this you will see a gain back in business as well as a sign of confidence and professionalism as a business owner.

2020 has a been a challenge as a photography business no doubt. With some adjusting fire and a few changes I have been able to still survive the year and not have to close my business because of covid -19 and all its effects. I released a custom memorial photo line up and took the safety steps to ensure my clients as well that I was a good reliable business and even with a 60% loss of business I managed to get 40% of it back by putting in a real effort.
It can be done if one is willing to work hard at it. I am for ever greatful for my clients and the folks that I had encouraged me not to quit and were there to see me succeed.
