All business owners should pay attention and should be on top of their expenses, the same manner when they pay attention to their revenue or sales and/or daily operation. Oftentimes small business owners, especially those that starting-up, tend to neglect to pay attention to their company expenses.
It is highly recommended to make sure that they reconcile their bank accounts, credit cards, and company loans every month. Company budget is also required and beneficial to your company; if you really want to take control of your cash flow or at least predict your spending and forecast it, make sure you had a budget in place; this will help you see how much money you needed, guide you with your spending, spot unusual expending trends and allow you to cut cost if required and possible without affecting your company operation.
Ensure that you sit down and review your Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flow every month. It is also beneficial and practical to review your Income Statement Comparison Monthly, Quarterly, or whatever period you preferred. By doing this, you can easily see the true picture of the company's financial health and eventually see your business thrived.
