Locally and on line. Anytime there is a small specialty store, I try to shop there. Many times they can find what you are looking for as well, so if you think they dont have it, ask them. Before Hurricane season starts, homeowners should check your policies and make sure you have enough coverage. Alluninum storm shutters are a great investment and once installed, your homeowners insurance will go down. Flood insurance is seperate and with these soaker hurricanes, flooding could cause major losses even if you are not near water.  A generator is the best investment if you are staying in your home. You can connect it to your breaker box (get instructions before doing this) this will save your refridgerated food and frozen items from spoiling if ther is a major outage. Usually days before power can be restored if hit with a storm. Trim trees and make repairs to the property such as bad fencing and loose gutters. Clean the gutters out as well so there is a good drainage, we check our neighborhood drains for debries as well. If there is a hurricane headed your way, remove items that can be picked up by strong wings and crash into your home.  Above all else, stay informed and leave for safety if possible.

Networking is key, join local social groups that focus on the arts, make every effort to meet others who do what you do and attend the functions and parties they go to, you will meet valuable contacts. Start by selling your work at art festivals to get a following, there are art festivals almost every weekend. Local art galleries may display your work, you may not get paid at first but you will get great exposure. Last, keep putting your work out there every chance you get and always look for ways to keep your outreach fresh and innovative. Good luck!

Don't be afraid to interview and ask for references.

My advice is yes. People like the convenience of food trucks so to inconvenience them by only accepting cash would hurt your business. I rarely carry cash anymore, Maury Kosh is right- this is the new way of life. (more) My advice is yes. Try going through Orlando Wedding Expo. There is alot of exposure for vendors such as limosine services. They also invite you to join their networking parties. Word of mouth with that networking group is key. Also, groupon might be a good way to introduce your services for a short time. (more) Try going through Orlando Wedding Expo.
