Kelsey Dunbar
Suffer to Tougher
“I’m a life and fitness coach, bestselling author, and speaker. Through my work with Suffer To Tougher, I help people — especially those over 40 — build sustainable health by strengthening mindset and habits, not willpower. I also provide CPR and First Aid training for humans and pets, because real support includes both long-term health and lifesaving skills.”
Suffer To Tougher was created for people who are tired of starting over — especially those who don’t feel comfortable in traditional fitness spaces or who have been told they “just need more discipline.”
Our work goes beyond workouts and weight loss. We focus on mental fitness, sustainable health, and real-life behavior change so people can improve their health without shame, extremes, or burnout.
Founder Kelsey Dunbar understands this journey personally. After battling obesity and low self-esteem for much of her life, she brings both lived experience and professional coaching to the people she serves. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s helping people reduce overwhelm, rebuild confidence, and create habits that support a better life physically and emotionally.
We work with individuals of all backgrounds and ability levels through coaching, speaking, and workshops, meeting people where they are and helping them move forward at a pace that actually lasts.
We offer a free consultation to discuss goals and challenges, along with a complimentary nutrition review you can keep — whether you decide to work with us or not.
Because real change starts with understanding, not pressure.
Suffer To Tougher was born from lived experience — not theory or motivation slogans.
Founder Kelsey Dunbar spent much of his life struggling with weight, self-esteem, and the cycle of starting over. He learned that effort wasn’t the issue — people aren’t broken, they’re overloaded. Most lack the structure and mental fitness needed to sustain change.
That insight became the foundation of Suffer To Tougher, focused on building sustainable health through mindset, habits, and emotional resilience using systems that work in real life.
A childhood experience also shaped the mission. At 12, Kelsey witnessed his best friend’s father die from cardiac arrest, leading him to create Life Savers CPR, providing CPR and First Aid training for humans and pets.
Both missions share one belief:
People deserve tools to survive, cope, and thrive.
