How We Got Started

I started RH Business Solutions to fill the gap I saw for small business owners. I grew up in an entrepreneurial household, watching my father run a small successful business. I also watched him do "everything" as a business owner, the highs, the lows and everything in-between. When I started working in the accounting field, I know I could help business owners understand their business finances and make sound financial decisions for their business.

Business owners wear several "hats" which can be stressful and overwhelming. Bookkeeping doesn't have to be one of those stressful or time consuming hats. I knew I could help.

We can reach your goals by working together.

Mute your microphone if you are not the one talking, especially if you have background noise or are in another conversation that is not in the group (i.e. talking on phone,  someone in your actual space, dog barking, etc.) 2. Remember, your camera is always on and other people can see you so if you have to do something that removes your attention from the meeting, get out of camera view. However, do this sparingly. 3. Don't just be present to give your commercial and then be gone the rest of the meeting. That shows people you don't care about them, you are only there to promote you! 4. Engage when you can while other people are talking, example: clap when they are done with their commercial or show a thumbs up. 5. Be authentic and who you really are but look like you are a business professional. At least on the part of you that shows on the camera. 6. Respect the timer if there is one and don't use the shout out opportunity to make another commercial for yourself. 7. Have Fun!

One of my clients had to jump through hoops and was so stressed out, because the day the PPP was "available" according to the SBA, their bank had already stopped accepting applications. At the same time, other banks were handing out money. It all depended on the banks. That was a very bad move on the government and SBA. Many people feel the SBA should of been in charge of the whole process instead of letting business owners be at the mercy of banks. If the government supplies more funding, lets hope the do a much better job this time.

Being a full charge bookkeeper, I use mainly online platforms like Quickbooks online, Xero and Wave Accounting for my clients. I was doing virtual accounting before COVID. I am use to and very comfortable with online networking. However, there is a certain advantage to interacting with people in person and I actuall miss that more than I thought I would.
