QuickBooks works great for us. They do our payroll, we can manage and monitor all our sales, bank deposits, A/R,A/P, yearly sales, quarter sales, monthly sales, expenses, create your own invoices, write checks, etc. Because of tax liability’s we do our taxes with a certified CPA and quickbooks provides a recap for him. Works great for us for the past 12 years. I really like being in control of my own company and also learning and understanding its own accounting.

Dear dad, I can tell you are overwhelmed to have to reach out within this forum for advice. Life can throw at us so many obstacles and curves. Welcome to the single profesional parent life. As a full time mother, full time self employed, I wear many hats for my children. The one thing I have learned about juggling a marriage separation, business and family, is to put yourself first. Yes your happiness and wellness is most important. The stress of your life can be detrimental for your body health, emotional health and mental health. I would suggest that even when you see the walls closing up on you with all the responsibilities you now have, take time for yourself. Find a reliable babysitter and go out for a long walk at the beach or be alone in the mountains or a place where you can find peace from the monotonous life you now have. Your children need to know the truth in a positive way, don’t speak negative about their mom but do tell them the truth and assured them that they are not the problem but do explain to them that life can be hard for some adults and breaks them. Many adults will run from family responsibilities for whatever reason. Children are very resilient and very understanding. They will see your heart and respect you for it. Organize yourself at home, while they go to school, you go to work and take care of your personal and business matters. Get a sitter to pick them up and take them home and give them a snack. Commit to a schedule, if the kids get out at 2:00 pm have the sitter stay with them till 5:00 and do some light duty to help you keep your house clean. Teach your children to do chores on the weekends and clean after themselves. When you come home help with dinner and spend time with them. Take a day off to spend with your kids, go to the movies or stay home and watch movies and make snacks. Life is to be enjoyed even when times get hard. If you have friends invite them to your home more often, celebrate each kid with a wonderful birthday party. Your business you would know best how to handle that. You know if you need more help or utilize the employees you already have. You have the answers to what’s happening in your life, take a deep breath and look in prospective new goals, analyzed what has happened and function at the moment without the idea that your wife is coming back. Assumed she is gone for good. That will redirect your thoughts, your emotions and it will give you a better look at how to proceed forward.
In my story, God has kept me in sanity, organized, emotionally balanced, responsible to myself and my children, I have no bitterness in my heart, I am free to accept the things I can not control and I am able to think of my ex spouse in a neutral way. My children are healthy in every way. My 16 year old I made him part of my business and he is doing a excellent job. Turning to God for me has been very positive and reading those amazing bible stories give me a good dinner story time with my children. I am not talking about religion, just reading a book that can truly change your life when you look at it with a different perspective. I wish you the best...

Dear grieving mom, I am truly sorry for your loss. I couldn’t fathom the feeling of losing a precious child. Children are precious and a gift from our Lord God in heaven. May I suggest that in this time we are living, many people are suffering grief and don’t know how to cope with it. Pain can be hard to deal and sometimes impaile us to move on with our lives! One thing that comes to mind is writing a blog, a blog that details the life of your child. I believe that this will be therapeutic for you, it will keep his memory alive for those who your blog may rich. You can also, create YouTube videos and get them monetize for your fund raising purpose. Also stores like Homedepot, Walmart Target etc, give back to the community. I have personally reached out to them and they have gladly helped sponsored schools, projects and events for the community. Also reach out to God, He is able to take away your pain through His undying love for humanity. He is a loving God and He doesn’t want you to suffer and He is able to supply all of your needs.
