How We Got Started
I started out in the Industry 24 years ago last September managing production for a large scale roofing company in Los Angeles. I stayed with it until 2010 when I started my own Company with my Son Andre'.
I take a lot of Pride on having employees that have been with me since I started 24 years ago in this Industry.

I can respect everyone's opinion regarding the referrals, I've tried that a couple times in the past and it was sometimes was a little frustrating, a couple people actually thought they should have received more money than what they received making the whole situation a little awkward. So I discontinued the referral program all together. We don't need to pay for referrals.
My best method for referrals is producing the best professional quality work, using the best labor force and using the best materials available to us. That speaks for itself.
I subscribed to Home advisor for about a year and there were so many dead-end leads. And trying to get credit on those leads was a battle. an example; My Son Andre' ran a lead and when he arrived at the house the homeowner told him he didn't really require any services but he was in fact paid by...

And trying to get credit on those leads was a battle. an example; My Son Andre' ran a lead and when he arrived at the house the homeowner told him he didn't really require any services but he was in fact paid by home advisor to solicit contractors and then rate them. We don't have time for such nonsense. I would never recommend using their service.

If a person has worked on the Roofs then they should possess the knowledge of all the verbiage and techniques required to do the job. It's pretty obvious when someone is not experienced and they're trying to fake their way through the questions. But then again the proof is in the pudding, if the candidate seems knowledgeable, put them to the test and in the situation to see if they can do the job. It only take a few moments to tell whether someone is experienced.
Running a Business is a full time job in itself, Unless you have a background in Business & Finance I would leave the accounting end of it to the professionals. This way you know you're doing it right. I've had the same CPA for 21 years now and although it costs me it's well worth it. I sleep...

Running a Business is a full time job in itself, Unless you have a background in Business & Finance I would leave the accounting end of it to the professionals. This way you know you're doing it right. I've had the same CPA for 21 years now and although it costs me it's well worth it. I sleep well at night knowing I'm running the Business & Books the right way. plus one other key element is that Tax Laws are always changing and I wouldn't have the time to keep up on all those changes.
