I am a financial planner and I will give you the advice I teach all of my entrepreneur small business clients.  Keep impeccable records and hire an accountant.  You cannot afford not to.  Go to the Canadian government website and find the list of allowable expenses.  Organize your receipts by category and post the annual total on a spread sheet.  Do it now before the rush.

Easy.  Fill out the Statement of Business activities from CRA and submit with your personal tax return (this is assuming your business is NOT incorporated.   Get the form T2125 at this link: https://www.canada.ca/en/reven...

I can help you with it Samantha. My email: [email address]

Did you keep a list of your expenses for your cleaning business? I can give you some guidelines on how to complete T2125. I file my own T2125 for self-employment for a number of years. .Feel free to send me a message if you like. I'm more than helping to assist you. CRA has a page on completing T2125.

I can recommend a great CPA if you would like?  Shoot me an email at [email address] or give me a call at (647) 287-0306 and we can go from there.  I look forward to hearing from you!

There are a few in my circle, the one who has the most recommendations is William Chong
