Raising the minimum wage simply adds to the costs of running a small business. The owner will have to either increase prices (which will push down demand - inflation) or decrease hours for employees and require the employee to complete the same tasks in a shorter amount of time. There is no better way to hurt a local recovery then to add additional costs to small business owners in this environment.
