As soon as a person hangs up with you or walks out of your store, you need to make contact to thank them for their time within one hour, and offer your devoted service for next visit. Follow that up with email too, same time. You can call first just to thank them and you look forward to being of service in the future (nothing more: quick and simple), then text right after call maybe with a link of your website. Then email with thanks and any special offers. It may seem overboard but it’s just devoted service. They will not forget your company or your devotion to them being a client or future client. One hour.

You sometimes need to do the things you don't want or like, to accomplish what you do want and need.  As far as cold calls and door to door...switch the game to your advantage...keep in mind, it takes 5 to 12 follow up contacts to close a deal in todays sales...the game for you is to see how many rejections you can get, therefore you must make call after call after call, door to door, to door...you may get rejected 100 times, but it can be that 101 time you make a huge client relationship and profits....and the more you do it, and fun you make it, it will eventually become second nature to you, less fear, and more production and profits...even if you are not great at it now, be the best at what you do at your level. set your goals, take massive action as your going to get rejected 99%, but maintain your positive attitude and belief in your success and that 1% percent will pay off.  KEYNOTE: YOU must believe in you, YOUR PRODUCT and vision of the company to succeed, if you don't and your "WHY/Purpose is not big enough for you commit to, you will fail at any career and possible success.

It's a platform and chance to get your service out there..But, make sure your networking only to those groups or meet and greets that is beneficial and career specific to yours. If you're in say real estate, for example, you don't waste your time with baking cakes or golf networking. you network with contractors, real estate lawyers, real estate investors, brokers, etc.  Not people selling cakes.
