Assuming you have quality content and stay focused on your target market, I've seen businesses double, triple and even more than quadruple organic traffic to their websites within a 6 month period translating into more consumer sales.
It can establish you or your business as a thought leader in your community or industry. It can build trust and foster a positive reputation.
The key blogging is to do the keyword research first, establish a realistic content calendar, and publish consistently. You may not need to write 1-2 articles a week. Depending on your industry, even 2 times a month can be very effective.
