Some require very little time and are straightforward. Others being more complicated and larger scale may require more of a hands on approach. If you have the project secured and just finalizing the project and contract, then as much time as needed, as long as you are not spending an incredible amount of time where there would be no ROI in the end. Your best bet is to figure out an amount of time and dollars for compensation. Then assess how much money are you willing to lose if you decided to just walk away. Then focus on that point as your decision time and always have an exiting plan in place for such an event. Last, always make this aware to your client so that they fully understand that there is a point of no return. This way the expectations are set up front and are mutually understood; this way no one if blindsided if you walk. You should also have milestones in place and which are agreed to by both parties off the start. Doing this prevents unforeseen oversites and will set all the expectations for the project and keeps the client in check at the same time. It is a mutual timeline that sets the president's for parties to finalize things in a timely manner and helps to follow and sustain the budgeted time and financials to keep things on track as well as help you plan and forsea the need to execute the existing plan if needed.

I have been in manufacturing as well as R&D and it is an ongoing slow train with it comes to suppliers a lot of the time. But there could be some benefits to not being fast paced all the time. Accuracy, quality, supply and demand, employee retention, training as well as cost effectiveness all play a part at the some time. For example, in the semiconductor industry if you advancements in technology and to market has made and broke many businesses. Keeping up with the demand is needed but not over producing or producing to fast can have a major backlash that could be detrimental to the business as a whole and your employment. So looking at the bigger picture is most improtant.

They may have improved over the last 12 months, but that does not clean their record. They would need to improve a lot more and be trustworthy for several years before I would even consider them. The just screwed over way to many small businesses and people during this last downturn. I do my... (more) They may have improved over the last 12 months, but that does not clean their record. They would need to improve a lot more and be trustworthy for several years before I would even consider them. The just screwed over way to many small businesses and people during this last downturn. I do my banking with MidFirst and have been very happy overall.

Have dealt with many of these over the years and never did find a good one that did exactly what they said they would ore could do. So I now just have them dumped into spam. Now work with a marketing group who have actually did what they said they would so far, but it is still early in the game....
