I am a strong and practical advocate for my clients and well respected in the legal community. As a retired law professor, I am focused on providing education to fellow lawyers and potential clients. My sworn duty of professionalism and quality legal advice is to the residents of our State and to my fellow attorneys. I take those duties very seriously; so much so that one friend referred to me as a "cowboy".

I wanted to establish a boutique firm committed to providing quality bankruptcy assistance for individuals and small businesses. My focus is to start first with education. After three decades of practicing bankruptcy law, I know how important it is for anyone to understand the challenges they may face when entering any new facet of life - in this case, financial challenges.

I use flat fee, hourly and value based billing processes.  It just depends on the client's needs.  In most bankruptcy cases we use a blend of flat, with a rollover to hourly if the matter becomes contested.  That has worked for many years. Every minute of your day is valuable. When waiting for an event (appointment, meeting, etc.) fill in the intervening minutes by taking care of small duties - emails, phone calls, cleaning up your desk. I will not give a quote for my fee until the potential client fills out an on-line form and we have a telephone conference to discuss their unique situation. To date no one has ever said "your competition quoted me a lower price", but if they did say that, I would briefly explain that our... To date no one has ever said "your competition quoted me a lower price", but if they did say that, I would briefly explain that our commitment to all our clients is to work with them as individuals, not like cattle. Also, that we are not a 'used car sales lot' so we want clients to feel they are not under any pressure to make a decision, instead encourage them to focus on education about their financial situation before making any decisions. In the world of law clients should never be commoditized - they are real people with real issues.
