The Sagrado is the only community arts organization and art gallery in South Phoenix, which nurtures the community’s arts and culture and serves as a cultural bridge for the Valley. The Sagrado was established in Phoenix, Arizona in 2016 as a result of the city’s lack of commitment to the South Phoenix community, arts, and culture.

Leading with a multi-generational approach, the Sagrado follows the mantra of Pasado (past), Presente (present), Futuro (future). Every aspect of the work of the Sagrado is defined through this belief. We guide our present action by listening to the wisdom of ancestors who have sacrificed and created before us. We honor our past by being present in purposeful action and patient practice. The supportive foundation of past wisdom and present action strengthens our vision and navigates us into the future we imagine.
