I'm not sure about unique referrals. A majority of my referrals come from my current patients. What does amaze me is the distance people will travel to come see us! We have patients that travel upwards of 200 miles each way! It never ceases to amaze me.

First and foremost, any good provider is one who will listen to your issues and work with you for your health and wellness. Techniques differ, practice models differ, but finding someone who listens and cares about your health is key.

I have found that networking doesn't work for my personality. I am very introverted and do not function well in crowds of people. My best patients come from word of mouth from current patients. I do some marketing on FB, but I am not active on instagram and I don't tweet.

Small business Saturday is mainly for retail businesses only. Service providers who aren't usually open on Saturdays don't get additional business.

We will have treats for those who come in on Halloween. Also, our staff are dressing up again this year. One of our employees has a toddler who hangs out with us from time to time, so last year she was Pac-Man and the adults were the ghosts. This year, we plan another group costume, but I'm...

The previous answers for education are correct. An undergrad degree in science is helpful, and then chiropractic school can be 3-5 years depending on the program. Apart from the education standpoint, in order to be a Doctor of Chiropractic, you need to be hard working, ethical, able to think critically and logically, detail oriented, and personable. Chiropractic school does not prepare you to be a business person, so you must be able to look at data and analyze it for billing, coding, finance, and contracts. You also need to be able to manage your time effectively, manage employees, and manage patients. There is so much more to being a chiropractor than just getting and having the degree and initials.
My philosophy is simple. If people want my help, they will seek me out. I don't harass them or try to "secure" their trust or business. Health care is about trust, and I feel that if I have to try to get them to trust me, then something is not right. I do my best for everyone who trusts me...

Health care is about trust, and I feel that if I have to try to get them to trust me, then something is not right. I do my best for everyone who trusts me to help them with their health and wellness. I don't scheme or try gimmicks to get their "business". Society has too many fake people looking to get rich, and that type of behavior has not place in health care.
I would say "it depends". There are numerous causes of neck and/or back pain and without any further information, there is too much ambiguity in the question to give a proper answer. I do both chiropractic and medical care, so I have the opportunity to evaluate the patient thoroughly and then...

I would say "it depends". There are numerous causes of neck and/or back pain and without any further information, there is too much ambiguity in the question to give a proper answer. I do both chiropractic and medical care, so I have the opportunity to evaluate the patient thoroughly and then initiate the appropriate treatment. However, chiropractors can and do thorough evaluations and diagnose numerous conditions that present with pain and are not musculoskeletal in nature. I would tell any patient questioning whether or not to see a chiropractor for neck or back pain that they will not know if it will be effective without seeing a chiropractor.
It depends on the chiropractor, but most I know do see auto accident patients. It is true that the billing can be a pain, but I believe that everyone should have exceptional care, especially after an accident.
