Unfortunately for you there does not appear to be many options than preparing while you can, to secure a new position with another company that chooses to run their business with integrity, and compliance with all laws. As you have already witnessed, it is more likely than not, that you may be the next person terminated unjustly. In your current environment if all is as you state, and relationships to family, trump passion, competency, brand allegiance, and striving for excellence in all that you do- then you should realize you’re in an environment that does not appear to favor job security, or advancement. It is far easier for you to secure new job, while employed in your current role, than to influence your executive leadership to change for the better. Their actions over time will catch up with them and lawsuits, and or compliance violations will force change, or end to their business/practices. You want to be employed somewhere else when that happens.

It’s easy to lose; being the best contributor on losing team is not something to be proud of - if you’re the best on a team and they lose consistently you (too) have failed at the obvious;leadership. No one else is motivated or taught to be able to match your contribution, unless what you are best at is mediocre or deficient performance and even though you’re better than the rest of the team- the team total effort consistently falls short of the required goal- to WIN.That is business.
Conversely, the worst on a winning team means all the opportunity and resources are already available for you to do one thing; grow. Learn by example of what it means to win; embrace excellence and live it. Worst case scenario is being as good as everybody’s else; without a commitment to contributing to win, being the worst on a winning team or the best on a losing team typically and eventually leads to the same place; unemployment.
The short answer is, go to your customers,don’t wait for them to find you.

Understand your optimum target market. I would assume you are looking for a customer that has discretionary income and lots of time to travel. I would target affluent retirement communities and look to gain a presence there. Look to your local Chamber of Commerce and or Real Estate Professionals to learn more about local demographics. Conduct free travel seminars focused on your specialty (domestic travel?) and advertise to get your ideal customer to come to you.
There are four primary tasks involved with your success; grow it, promote it, over-deliver on expectations, and create lasting meaningful relationships with your clients - then repeat (every day).

Seasoned office/administrative candidates that are articulate, charismatic and possess an obvious enthusiasm for customer service are hard to find. Those candidates that additionally, have little in their lives that conflict with availability to work all shifts (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays) are even harder to find.
Your experience, skill set, and age should be an advantage. I would focus on hotel front desk, and night audit. With great attitude and exceptional performance, you’re on your way to a salaried supervisory/management promotion. But you need to get your foot in the door. Businesses are driven to boost bottom line performance by investing in two things that build brand value and loyalty; strict control on product quality and outstanding service that is unique, memorable and fosters long term relationships.
Walk in the door and let your demeanor create the impression that you are a great investment (and candidate) for the Company. You will be hired very soon.

Those that choose not to, that may include many of your current coworkers, will be the ones who will be looking for a new place of employment. Stars are Stars, performance excellence, great attitudes and behavior that supports team engagement and enthusiastic support for company mission is what matters, is what is measured and when acknowledged is what matters and is rewarded. If you love your job and company and are a Star, all will go your way.
