Shouldn't you take the time to prepare a proper tax plan? Restructuring transactions can reduce tax liability legally and substantially. Take time to line up all of your deductions, credits, and loopholes. One of my favorite strategies for small business owners is hiring your kids. If you are a sole proprietor or a husband and wife partnership, you may be able to hire your kids who are under age 18 and pay them a wage that is not subject to Social Security, Medicare or Federal unemployment tax. Making your kids work in your business teaches them what you do for a living, the value of work, and allows them to earn a paycheck that can be used for many of the expenses you would ordinarily pay out of your pocket -- like a car, cell phone, private school tuition, extracurricular activities, etc.

I just needed to make sure potential clients could find me on the net.
