We are now entering week 4 of the stay at home order, I have completed no less than 8 different versions of the SBA PPP loan application with the last effort containing 42 pages of documents that were being required as part of the process. The fund has now run out of money - surprise?- no! I have...

We are now entering week 4 of the stay at home order, I have completed no less than 8 different versions of the SBA PPP loan application with the last effort containing 42 pages of documents that were being required as part of the process. The fund has now run out of money - surprise?- no! I have encouraged any one I have come into contact with, mostly online-to contact their Senators and Representatives to quit playing games and add more money to the fund, so far no progress.
I do want to say thank you to all of creditor, vends, suppliers, clients we work with who have been extremely understanding and supportive during this pandemic shut down, so far I have only encountered 1 creditor who has been difficult, I understand their position, however with no revenue for 4 weeks and at least another 2 weeks of shut down looming I'm in no position to give them money I simply don't, and won't have for sometime.
I'm getting multiple requests to buy gift cards from closed businesses-restaurants, toy stores, clothing shops, dry cleaners, etc - which is a great idea, I would like everyone to consider the carpenters, painters, electricians, cabinet makers etc who are shut down as well - our pain is equal to all of these other businesses.

Home Advisor is great for homeowners - it is awful for contractors...the leads are free
to the home owner - they are very, very, very expensive to contractors! Worse yet Home Advisor will do nothing to make certain the phone number $75 for will ever answer the phone or return your...

Worse yet Home Advisor will do nothing to make certain the phone number $75 for will ever answer the phone or return your messages..they will tell what you want to hear, promise you the moon-when it comes time to collect on their promises-your assigned rep will be nowhere to be found....don't do it

We use Gravity, sadly we signed a long term contract at a very high rate. They refused to either lower the rate or let us out of the contract. My advice is to shop for a lower rate and stay with short term contracts!

In Washington State there are General Contractors and Speciality Contractors, I do not believe there is a "Home Improvement" classification.

After you have determined that the customer or vendor is a positive for your company
our best experience is to let them know that they or the product have value and that you wish to work with them in a positive manner.
Offering discounts seems to just set the process up or the vendor or client...
