About Us
Kan's Embroidery is a small local embroidery business located in Providence, RI. We specialize in customized embroidered clothing (shirts, hats, sneaker tongues, jackets, sweaters, etc), household essentials (pot holder sets, curtains, table cloths, place mats, decorative pillows, towels, etc), personalized gifts (for all occasions, including weddings). We also offer graphic design services such as logo design, custom invitations, flyers, business cards, CD covers, t-shirt graphics and more.
How We Got Started
I grew up in a family of crafters. I myself as a teen, made my own clothing and hemming of household upholstery. So as the years went on, I knew there was something more to sewing and began my interest of embroidery. Now I sew and embroider. To start a business in this field was the best decision I've ever made.

I've worked with a few large companies. The way I was able to make contact was by leaving my information on their website, sending them a free custom embroidered item with their company name, and or going to their local store/shop and talking to them directly. Giving a free custom item with their company name on it, is sometimes necessary when trying to establish contact or interest. Most tines, that itself creates interest.

It really all depends on what your able to do. Not all screen printing and embroidery shops do the same thing. Sometimes it's great to offer something unique. Like me for instance, my embroidered toilet paper is one of my biggest sellers. Some places do embroidered toilet paper, but majority of...

It really all depends on what your able to do. Not all screen printing and embroidery shops do the same thing. Sometimes it's great to offer something unique. Like me for instance, my embroidered toilet paper is one of my biggest sellers. Some places do embroidered toilet paper, but majority of places do not offer it, so most customers come to me for it. Most embroidery shops around me just accept custom orders and take personalized orders, whereas I accept custom and personalized orders, but I also create my own unique items to sell in my shop. So to answer your question with one word, would be "uniqueness". Come up with ideas that most places wouldn't even think of. Good luck!

It differs geographically, based on location and style. Some of the best places to look for great results, would be the radio and internet, or even local references.

I'm an embroiderer and I can embroider on any style of T-Shirt, even silk. I have even embroidered tank tops, like wife beater style. However, I will say 100% cotton always comes out best with embroidery. You may check out some of my shirts I've done on my website http://www.Kansembroidery.com
