About Us

As the writer of the Self-to-self philosophy, my focus is on the learning and sharing of how we form relationships as the basis of our experiences. From the extensive introduction articles on our website, http://selftoself.com/ to the first volume of Mystical Verses: The poetry of Self-to-self Philosophy, to our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/MysticalVerses.Selftos... our aim is to help empower each of us through learning how to direct change. For, whether the aim of change is personal life or the collective Life of our planet, the expansion of individual consciousness is also the path of change to our global world reality.

A question often asked of a "New Age" coach... "How do I become a witch ?"  Answer:  "Stand in the middle of a dark room at midnight, spin around 3 times repeating, I'm a witch, I'm a witch, I'm a witch".  (more) A question often asked of a "New Age" coach... (more)      Quite honestly, Matthew Rand (of I Buy Houses) has a valid point for some of us... are we self employed or are we bona fide business owners -- or are we our own unique and dedicated measure of both?  That can become a critical proposition if life changing, threatening illness strikes and we need to first, survive -- and when our business endeavours are a crucially positive and creative value in our life-survival stratagies.  Finding the combination of tactics that can allow us a public presence and input while drastically scaling back our work related time, depends on deciding what our relationship is with our clientry, general audience, and specific market.  While there are lots of great answers being offered here, understanding our life aims inclusive of our business goals, can help us decide our best whole-life stratagies if we need to re-configure our time according drastic changes in our specific situations.       All of that being said, I've found that staying in touch with people, keeping them "in-the-loop" on sometimes personal, and business issues through whatever our regular methods are, (newsletters, email, social media updates, website posts, company annnouncements and other ususal contacts and assistance), can go a long way toward remaining connected with our larger world.  When we share the challenges of our lives more broadly, we infuse all of our relationships with the genuine; and we blurr the striict lines of business, social, and personal interactions, encouraging a shift in everyone's perceptions away from often rigid compartmentalizing that may be counterproductive to not only our businesses, but to our whole-life aims, goals.      People want to cheer each other on; people want to know they are recognized and valued in more than only one nerrow "compartment" of life.  Knowing that our struggles are so often also siletly some part of others' struggles, is a recognition of our shared journey, and how, often unkowingly, we touch each other's lives beyond the ususal insolating, isolating commercialization that's often promoted as the prime premise of all daily human experiences.      All of the answers here help us with this extension and expansion of inclusiveness that adds immeasurably to the kind of world we create with all our interconnective building blocks as we each add to each others daily-business, whether we are sticktly business customers, or aquaintances, or anything in between.  In practice, we are all more important to each others' sense of Life's business, than we may know.       Even in the limbo of life threatening, life changing illness, we still have the power of our choices about what we want to stand for, and how we will conduct our daily life... inclusive of all of the prescribed compartmentalizing we may have been following.       Indeed, as Sofi voiced, please take care, and do what is needed and best for your own healing.

(more) I agree that often customer incentives can add to the good-will factor that is so valuable in building a business.  Reputation can be everything in business, as in personal life; so I recommend deciding what kind of reputation you want to build (in both instances), and doing some targeted research and testing on your own; try to discover what--if anything, will be helpful to your customers and your business in regards to your customer's appreciation of your business, and their clientele loyalty.  In some situations, incentives may not be practical, or maybe even necessary, so long as you offer excellent customer care and service, stable accessibility, fair resolution processes, and honest, clear information always, to your customers.  This in itself will build your reputation; and customer referrals are then a bonus paid to you!  Having said that... I must also say that I have used discounts on purchases for  customer loyalty over time, and appreciation for large orders, which are often a surprise and quite appreciated.  Businesses are as unique as their owners, and learning to understand and navigate your own most effective routes to developing a strong baseline for customer referrals, is always rewarding -- and often, this is in unforeseen, win-win scenarios.  My own business is about helping people find their own individual, best life-practices through relationship-studies; through partnership paradigms, which begin in personal Self-to-self, inside out learning; the kind of EQ learning that engenders new and creative approaches in all we do in life, and offers a comprehensive approach to our business-corporate concerns as well as all of our inter-individual relationships.  Understanding how build, use, and promote universalized harmony, is a huge business asset... from every perspective!
