How We Got Started

I started my career as a software engineer and worked in the software industry for 20 years. I reached the pinnacle of the software becoming the CTO for several companies but still working and travelling all the time. I was missing my wife, and kids and they were growing up so fast. I finally had enough and my wife and I flipped roles. She went back to nursing full time and I opened a small computer repair office in Quincy. This was a huge financial stress but I have no regrets. Having my own business allowed me more flexibility to watch my kids grow up, see them play sports and really get involved with their lives. This is something I never could have done if I stayed working for someone else. Its now 2021 and the business is still small and most of our clients are small businesses. I still take care of people's computers who helped me when I first was starting out and will always be grateful to them for helping me get my business off the ground.

(more) To properly protect your business data all businesses should have a business class firewall with built on intrusion protection, anti virus, anti malware  and anti spam built in.   One of the big problems I have seen is that small businesses think that their modems provided by their ISP provider provides good enough security and they absolutely do not.  Internet Service Providers are not in the security business.   So get a business level firewall.    The next is to have a backup system that is not onsite, it can be in the cloud which is secure depending on who your use or an offsite system you backup too. This can be done relatively inexpensively but regardless just think about what it would cost you if you’re business was down for days because of an outage or disaster.     If you focus on these two things first your business will be in much better shape protecting against hackers and being able to recover from an outage or disaster.      This is critical for your business.     Thanks - Jerry

(more) My view is simple.  Vote YES On question 1.  The question was put on the ballot by nurses that are concerned with Patient quality of care that they can provide their patients.   Hospital administrators are fighting this because they don’t want to hire the appropriate number of nurses to handle the work load.   So they are using all kinds of scare tactics to confuse the issue and spending a ton of money confusing everyone.    Don’t be confused.  Vote with the nurses who put this question on the ballot. Vote YES.
