About Us

Mountain West Mining, LLC provides mining equipment and prospecting supplies for small scale/recreational mining. We are a national/international distributor for Dream Mat products. Dream Mat is the only sluice mat to ever be Scientifically designed using physics And hydrodynamic principles for capturing fine gold. We have developed our own branded line of sluices, highbankers and trommels, designed especially for Dream Mat.
In addition, we are distributors for Fisher Research Labs-Gold Bug Metal detectors, Kwik-Kiln smelting/refining kilns, Black Magic fine gold recovery system. Krusher rock crushers and our own “Gold Reserve” Premium Gold Paydirt with guaranteed gold and a good time.
We carry hundreds of other products as well.

Our story began as a desire to educate and help miners to get more gold and to provide quality, reasonably priced mining equipment and prospecting supplies. We know miners because we are miners ourselves!

In our world of small scale and recreational mining, I am thinking, what can we add to our listings that will bring new or better products to help our miners in their quest for gold, other precious metals or gems. Also thinking of implementing some Zoom sessions to connect with our buyers to showcase new products, conduct training or maybe a live forum.

With the advent of Covid, all of our shows were cancelled. I am grateful for all of the mining and prospecting friends that we have made serving their needs. They all supported us by continuing to purchase from us through our e-commerce web site and through word of mouth we have done much better than I thought. My passion is to educate new and existing miners on new equipment, techniques and to help them find more gold.
