How We Got Started

The story of Verti Group International (VGI) began when co-founder David S. Freid recognized a major flaw in corporate digital marketing: cookie-cutter, "packaged" SEO plans that fail local businesses.

After earning top honors as an online marketing consultant at AT&T, David left the corporate world in 2008 to build a different kind of agency—one focused on custom, high-performance search strategies tailored to the unique Seattle market.

Today, VGI remains a local pioneer. We bridge traditional SEO with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), ensuring your business ranks at the top of Google and gets recommended by AI tools like ChatGPT.

At my desk, I first look to my internal VGISEO messages as we are global, there are events which take place that I simply need to consider each day. My next consideration/task is to check my emails for news and alerts or any other emails that had arrived while out. To be sure that I am aware of any news related to Google products and or others that may affect the Google search results by opening and considering the many threads I am monitoring using FEEDLY. Finally, I will consider our client's current rankings in Google search and the overall online visibility. It is this task that will define my day to address our client's online needs. That is a routine I visit most every day, even weekends. (minus the actual SEO work unless I see an urgent need.

The trick will be to call your official online home on a platform offering ways to connect with like thinkers and those who will consider your products and/or services.  For example, I can easily find groups I can join and interact with and even share offers of my services on both LinkedIn and Facebook. VGI-SEO and I are leading Seattle SEO experts, I can share that it pays to find and interact within groups as large as 100,000 or more discussing online marketing for us and in ways to support our overall online visibility too. It can actually be a good thing to concentrate your efforts this way rather than chaining yourself to all that goes into keeping a website optimal. Also, were you aware that Google provides a free business website with each of its free GMB listings? They also have added chat features and other UX elements. I think it is probably worth you checking into. It is also my opinion that with the way things are shaping up on Google's "Google My Business" platform, I see little need for some of us to support a paid version. Hope this helps...

(more) You may be surprised at the answer...  Truth is we at times turn away more business than we bring in.  Don't believe me? The first and ONLY negative review we have ever received was from one who we stopped negotiations with after seeing that like many, they simply thought knew too much about SEO, and knew just enough to be dangerous. For example: Here is an article titled "Google Has No Code To Text Ratio Ranking Algorithm". You would not believe the comments. "We don't use anything like text to code when it comes to Google search." - good to know ;)"  It is simply scary to me to know what little it takes to be an SEO... ugh! Bottomline... CODE MATTERS!!! signed, David S. Freid VGI-SEO I think anyone familiar with the Internets best answer to speed is linked to Googles AMP (accelerated mobile pages) and the STRIPPING AWAY OF CODE. The title of the article could as well be, "Google Doesn't Care How Many Images A Page Has", which most all website owners know that images do slow down the speed of rendering.  It Boils Down to Trust.  If our hands are tied, if we have to wait for approval more than a week, if the client can not put their full trust in Verti Group International a.k.a. SEO Seattle®, we simply can't provide the most optimal solutions for their online visibility. This fact can hurt our own standings for what we constantly deliver and must convey to our prospective clients. If our client's rankings in Google search do not look good, we don't look good. We also will run the risk of attracting a negative review which from a client has never happened. Losing the A+ rating in the SEO industry would be a negative thing for us. Too many so-called SEO's have mixed feelings and little confidence in SEO.  SEO is not magic, it is simply becoming an expert surrounding Google Guidelines. Interpretation also plays a very big part...  Simple answer... YES

SEO Seattle® (a leading Seattle SEO company) continues to rely solely on our website to generate a prospective clients interest. Yes, it is working very well... Of course I should mention, we are an exceptional Seattle SEO company with the knowledge to rank. If there is anyone searching online for an SEO company in say Bellevue or even Seattle Washington online, they will see us at the top of the search results and the millions of other so-called SEO experts. Why do you like it? In our case, the search results support our knowledge of the exact SEO services we provide. I like this because it simply displays to those searching for an SEO company, that we may know something the others don't... Why do you not like it? SEO is not cheap and we simply can not designate enough man power to reach the areas of the U.S. as our clients must always come first. For us to grow, we must open other markets, (just recently we started targeting Olympia, WA) this due to our contractual exclusivity. Do you get a good ROI? Much better than any other marketing... Are you seeing results for what your paying for? YES!

As a leading veteran Seattle SEO company, I think the core problem is linked to the way an SEO and/or website owner interprets the Google Guidelines and even the definition of what SEO really is. The biggest misconception is that >> SEO is all about content and keywords. Not today... Every thing that is linked to a website or that is found on a website simply matters. Everything that supports "user experience, simply matters. Right down to the spacing of anchor text for ease of use by mobile visitors. Even the hosting of a website can make a difference in the overall online visibility of a website. Verti Group International a.k.a. SEO Seattle®, takes the time to investigate and clearly understand any one of the 500 plus ranking factors. For example we simply know why the most optimal font size to use is now 16 (sixteen). We start by locating important copyright fillings and record the Google engineers name for us to help locate information shared surrounding the respective topic and proceed with still further research. Here is an example of how one respected SEO had interpreted Google's removal of the " rel=author markup" taken from a conversation at https://www.quora.com/profile/David-Freid-3 earlier today. It started with my answer to the following question: Is domain authority still a ranking factor in 2018, or are algorithms completely focused on the page level now? My Answer: David Freid, 10+ years leading an A+ Rated Seattle SEO CompanyAnswered Sun It is actually the author(s) of the content found on a domain that truly matters… But, yes, as most interpret "DA", I don't think G labels it as domain authority… but it still lives. Hope this helps… Here is one response to my answer... Chris Slesarchik 7h ago Thanks for your response! Do you have any evidence to the effect that authors are a ranking factor? It has been pretty widely accepted and confirmed by Google themselves since 2014 that authorship is no longer relevant It's Over: The Rise & Fall Of Google Authorship For Search Results David Freid 6h ago · 1 upvote from Chris Slesarchik Hello Chris Slesarchik, I can confirm that Google simply no longer supports or needs rel=author. Google has stated it has other ways to determine the author of content. One consideration you may easily support is the following example. Should content discussing current events taking place at the nations capital, I think you will agree? Content authored by President Donald Trump will be a more trusted author than even similar content authored by you or me. I should share that I too at first, interpreted the announcement made by Google surrounding the removal of the rel=author markup back in 2013–14 to say that it was all about the content, "whoever the author". I can also rely on content shared by actual Google ranking engineers like Paul H surrounding this topic. But, here is an article that you may find useful… Google Authorship May Be Dead, But Author Rank Is Not Danny Sullivan on August 29, 2014 at 2:10 pm Hope this helps… Reply Chris Slesarchik: A very interesting read! Thanks for elaborating. Conclusion: There is a big difference when comparing even the most well suited SEO company to another...
