I started in the small business world the day I was born. My family has had a small business in California for 8 generations. WE first settled in Santa Clara, California after arriving from New York in 1847. WE started as farmers, planting 200 acres of pears. The business prospered for 3 generations until the 1950's when the area started transitioning to what is know today as Silicon Valley. With the pressure of technology replacing agriculture, my grandfather moved the farms to the Sacramento River Delta where it still stands producing more then just pears and tomatoes. Growing up in a small business family has giving me the very understanding of what managing money means to a successful business. My parents have taught me many things in life, but in the small business world, the most important lesson is; let the business world be your money and your family be your world. It's not about you, it's not about me, it's all about WE.
