About Us
WRIV Radio 1390 AM has served Riverhead and the surrounding area since 1955. We provide listeners with Local News and Information, access to elected officials, an outlet to express themselves and are a primary source during inclement weather. This brings listeners. Advertisers benefit from having their message heard by adults who have the disposable income to fulfill their needs and desires. All of which is a long way of saying that we get results.

Don't feel bad, Heidi. I don't know what a CRM is either although I see where Anita Dixon defined it as 'Customer Relationship Management'. If I may be old school, and having done this since 1976 I am old school, the best approach might be to know your customers, know their needs and know how you...

If I may be old school, and having done this since 1976 I am old school, the best approach might be to know your customers, know their needs and know how you can fulfill them. Dennis Smith, who also replied put it best, 'if you're closing sales, you don't need it'. He's right. Regards and best wishes, Bruce Tria, WRIV Radio 1390 AM, Riverhead, New York
I read two other responses which could be summarized as 'stand your ground'. I take a different view. The money is green. Negotiation is part of the reality of business in the current age. In fact, the only place you can't negotiate is in a retail store.

Where should we begin ? WRIV is the longest established radio station in the market. Our longevity is the result of working hard for our advertisers by presenting their message to a large, loyal, responsive audience. We treat them the way we want our families to be treated and we live by the motto of under promise, over deliver. Our job is not to sell commercials. Our job is to help you grow your business and we're good at it.
That's a tough one, Mr. Wall. Price wars are never good. On the other hand, neither is losing business to Brand X because they're a little cheaper. Sometimes it is best to meet a competitors price rather than undercut them. Happens a lot. Hope that helps.
