The ballroom dance industry is quite different than a lot of other businesses, we have no retail and depend solely on local clientele coming into our studio. Due to the physicality of our business we are very limited on what we can do as far as teaching goes. We have gone 19 weeks with no revenue other than a little help from EILD which will run out soon. At this point about 30% of my committed students taking Dance for the last several years is willing to come back And about another 30% are wanting to wait until September/October. Another 10% or so are scared! 5% wants to wait till next year. I’ll lose about 75% of new clientele that purchased Introductory packages in October November December 2019 January February march, 2020, due to lack of being open and never had the opportunity to really enjoy The benefits and fun of learning how to dance😩Overhead is relatively the same with the exception utilities are a little lower because of the usage of electricity and water. Since March when we closed I’ve had three calls inquiring about Dance Lessons. January through May Is when we have a lot of people sign up for introductory packages Which is the lifeline to new business for our studio! We started a big campaign advertising in October 2019 through March 2020 with digital & Flex flex billboards with Lamar advertising, Groupon, mail outs etc. to the tune of about $10,000 and then get slammed with coronavirus in March go figure!

When customers walk in the door and after having those first few lessons they realize that any cares, stresses or thoughts are left behind during their time dancing! Benefits of dance are endless! Just to mention a few of over 100, stress release,exercise,losing weight meeting new people,learning something new, Time with spouse or significant other, enriched relationship, Learning a new skill warding off dementia,Alzheimer’s not to mention something that you can do for the rest your life!!! As I said the benefits are endless!
