What can I do better to attract customers?

Real simple Brittany, the best way to engage with your customer is to market to their needs and not sell. Big difference. You don not want to push your business but target to their needs and solve individual problems. When you "look" for the customer you'll never find the ideal individual. When you allow anyone to interact with you and exchange their concerns or needs, then you will have the answer to what they need. Having one hundred clients that return and refer others is so much more profitable than a thousand that make that one impulse purchase. You build life long relationships that will always provide for a more prosperous future. I hope this will give you maybe a little different perspective that opens different doorways for you and your business.
I agree with Bradley, except on the point that it is "real simple". For some people it is not easy to stand away from your own passion and to view it from another's perspective. But we have found that marketing on different levels is a very helpful tool to engaging customers. We use different advertising products and pricing which is targeted to a specific audience, tailor-made so to speak, and we distribute them to a range of potentially interested customers, depending upon what their needs may be. We advertise specials on holidays and use social media to get the word out. We target specific age groups and make sure our web pages have up-to-date SEO's.
