It also moves the needle up to 36,000 miles or three years  parts and labor! Committed to help, Leon Martin

I would contact a professional in the automotive service business that is able to give it a bumper to bumper health assessment focusing on safety longevity and maintenance so that you are aware of the truth about your vehicle.  Do not act like it is finished when you close the deal...  that is time to start reinforcing that decision your client just made and to congratulate them on making the right decision it’s much better and much easier to build report after they agree to the sale.  In addition to many of those good answers below,... I would like to add say, be humble, use appropriate body language, do not stand erect and square up shoulders, but rather pull together and lower your head, literally lower than the “unsatisfied” person speaking. One good sign it’s working is when they do the songbird thing.... it’s so powerful…! However, when in doubt,....Just ask them kindly, would “you feel good about recommending our services to your best friends?” Leon Martin  (more) One good sign it’s working is when they do the songbird thing.... it’s so powerful…! (more) Thanks Larry for bringing up that question, … We have a large amount of communication gaps in our whole service sector that need to be resolved by people like you and me. I love to help people understand and respect dealerships.I also believe that there is plenty of work for both of us. The Labor rate question has been ongoing for decades and is very unfortunate. We need to be asking questions like what does it cost to replace my timing belt and the normal accessories that go with that job if we have a price concern.… The dealership price and the independent shop repair price is usually not much difference. The procedure is what needs to be focused on rather than the dollars per hour. The dollars per hour is only invented by somebody that was trying "marketing competition" and not thinking the horrible side effects this has become. The next factor is if it were not for the dealerships and what they represent in providing cars that need service all independence would be out of business before many years. Thank you dealerships/manufactures for providing all the needed service that this world has! respect fully submitted by another independent repair shop owner who has high respect for all the manufacturers Leon martin
