Does Anyone Have Experience With Direct Mail Marketing for Restaurants or Catering Services?

Emma - I'm the CEO of a Direct Marketing Automation company called Boingnet. We see many small business clients (and agency clients) using direct mail very effectively to market restaurants and catering. Like many of the other responses you've gotten, we see best success when a multi-touch, multi-channel (mail, web, email) campaign is devised. You're best bet is to use the data targeting and high response rate you can get from direct mail offers & coupons to drive your targets online to a Personalized URL. Make the offer contingent upon getting an email address and/or cell phone. Then you can combine direct mail with email or SMS for lower cost, higher return campaigns.
If you ever want to dig in further on how to best integrate direct mail with digital campaigns, don't hesitate to reach out to me on Alignable or via our Contact Boingnet form.
Great answer. As we all should realize by now, all around us people are on their personal portable. If you are to build your business to Brand status in the digital age, you must be on two levels. Digital and radio, digital and print.......

Dennis, that's absolutely correct. I've been working with startups since 2008 and have been successful in implementing strategies that drive traffic, increase leads, create greater brand awareness and ultimately more prospects in front of sales representatives. Direct Mail alone has a terrible rate of return and in most cases expensive compared to a direct response social media campaign that redirects individuals to a capture page for a 10% off coupon and such. It all comes back to multi-channel campaigns that further educate and facilitate buying decisions.
