Folks, inflation is down, but not gone. The rate is lower now than three month ago. Inflation is not like rain, it does come, and then suddenly it is over. I will not be at the goal of 2% probably till the middle of next year or later. Gas prices are down, some commodities are down, however, only some of the food at the grocery store are down. The job market is slowing slightly and that is a sign that demand is slowing. When it comes to inflation the opposite is recession. Who wants that??? Slow and easy is the way. It is happening. Someone mentioned layoffs. Layoffs are not because of inflation, they are because the economy is slowing. So you cannot have ecstatic job growth and low inflation. But the aim is to have job growth which is still happening, to be greater that layoffs that occur in businesses experiencing less demand. Black Friday, and Cyber Monday broke all records, so demand is still robust, but pricing will drive consumer decisions. That will also help inflation.
Too Many questions, also there was nothing at the beginning between Best Quarter ever and worse than last. So the questions does not tell you about businesses that are doing just fine, but not "Experiencing Best Quarter Ever"

If your customer has good credit and a home they are much better financing larger jobs with a HLOC at 3 to 5%. Even at 7-9% they are better off than typical "finance companies"

I would consider it as important because it is the only path to returning to a more normal business climate, and robust business activity.

Sad to see many here down grading the effect of the stimulus need. Some business are desperate and should get aid. Also sad to see people blaming the government for shutdowns. That is like blaming the umbrella for rain.

We have not stopped marketing, in fact have increased our online efforts. It seems to be paying off as our inquiries are steadily increasing close to pre-covid levels. We directed a significant portion of our marketing content to assure that we are complying with all the required CDC guidelines to safeguard our customers and workers. Revenues have been enough to keep the doors open, but we are hoping to get to profitability at about 50% of pre-covid by the end of July. Don't see us returning to pre-covid profits to well into fall if not later.

Chase is not alone....the bulk of round one went to larger publicly traded companies with millions in annual profits. I would bet if you did this analysis for major banks, most would fall into to this category. Time to support small community banks. I am not long for Capital One either.
