Me! :)I charge $25/month or $250/year (includes 2 free months) for Windows hosting. As a 20-year veteran designer and developer, I have offer a highly secure, high performance server with no throttling to slow down your site and very low overhead load (less than 50 sites running). My monthly charge is higher than most for a few very logical reasons:1) You'll have my cell #, which I answer most anytime. No waiting on hold for tech support.2) I'll know your site, unlike XYZ host that knows nothing about you, your site or your business.3) I'm your own personal IT administrator and am happy to help with anything web-related to your business. You won't get this with even the largest host in the world, GoDaddy.4) Speaking of GoDaddy, their "high performance" web hosting takes around 15-20 seconds to load many of their sites that are on a shared hosting plan (which accounts for most). I have worked with many Indian website developers in the past and there is no doubt that Indians are, by and large, exceptional programmers. However, you mentioned "designers." Culturally, Indians are very pragmatic, solution-oriented and logical. Designers are artistic, creative, and free thinking. Programmers typically make horrible designers and designers typically make horrible programmers, but there are some exceptions here and there, especially with full stack developers. Point being, I would not hire an Indian for anything artistic on a computer, as I have yet to see designs made by Indians, in a general sense, that really spoke to me. The other question for me comes down to whether you should keep your money in America or send it overseas. The other comments mentioned the language barrier and that is a very real problem, in my experience. I have worked with some Indians who had exceptional communication skills and there was no problem, but regardless, I would not hire anybody outside of the U.S. for domestic economical reasons. Working with someone that you can meet, build a relationship with, and who will have your best interests in mind transcends monetary value. I believe it's always best to support the local guy, if at all possible. Good luck. :)

Umbraco... best platform out there, hands down. It's built on the Microsoft.NET MVC framework and is 100% customizable. WordPress is not really a development platform, since the base of its technical offering requires plug-ins that are pre-developed. Changes or fixes to plug-ins can lead to frustration when the developer can't be reached or isn't interested in implementing changes you'd like in the plug-in. With Umbraco, 100% of the code is 100% open source. I could go on indefinitely... but go to http://www.umbraco.com for more info. I'm worked with just about every CMS out there, but I've stuck with Umbraco for the last 3 years. It just keeps getting better.
One other note I'll mention about Umbraco and my Web site design and development model is that I can integrate the CMS with any flat HTML/CSS template you like. You're not forced to use a template specially made with WP or Drupal code. Because I'm developing the site and each page or section...

One other note I'll mention about Umbraco and my Web site design and development model is that I can integrate the CMS with any flat HTML/CSS template you like. You're not forced to use a template specially made with WP or Drupal code. Because I'm developing the site and each page or section around how you need to present your message or function, the sky is the limit. My starting fee for a complete business site is $1500... not what you'd expect from a site with functionality built from scratch. And I'm in the U.S. (Atlanta, GA).
