Because the Company's primary channels of distribution are better home furnishings retailers and interior design firms and professionals, Distinctive Designs imports only the most technically advanced artificial flowers and foliage and stylish planters of diverse materilals from its overseas sources for use as components in its U.S. produced permanent florals, greenery, plants and trees. Each design is hand-assembled by talented, experienced floral designers, and are ready for use right out of the carton, with minimal or no "fluffing" required.

Distinctive Designs founder Emma Hoffmann was one of a handful of American and European floral designers to mentor the manufacture of fabric artificial flowers and foliage first in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand, then in mainland China. Originally, planters and related floral accessories were sourced from the Philippines and Europe, now also from China, Vietnam and India as well.
