I charge mileage round trip over 10 miles from my office. If it gets much farther than 15 miles out then it is not cost effective to the time spent driving, so that takes some careful consideration. Hope this is helpful.

It has been my practice and in my contract that I require payment prior to services. That way my new clients know this upfront. I don't have time to invoice or follow up with clients who don't pay on time and I'm guessing neither do you.
